SPACESCAPES

THE INTRODUCTION

SPACESCAPES – EIGHT SLIDE SHOWS

THESE ARE THE PAINTINGS OF OTHER GALAXIES, NOT AS ILLUSTRATIONS, NOR AS SCIENCE, BUT RATHER AS AN AESTHETIC PRESENTATION.

TO PAUSE THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE SLIDE SHOWS – JUST “MOUSE-OVER”

OUTER SPACE EXPRESSIONISM!

I’m now working on a video titled “Exoplanets And Exotic Stars” – after which I’ll be selling 125 of my outer space art exhibited as a single focus (acrylics and oils).

At present the price of my art is in six categories:

  • Paintings up to the larger dimension of 16 inches – $1,250.00
  • up to 20 inches – $2,800.00
  • up to 24 inches – $4,8000.00
  • up to 30 inches – (a) $7,200.00 and (b) $6,400.00

Astronomers have recently found 2,326 Earth-like planets having possible habitable zones around stars like our sun – 48 have been confirmed.

The planet, Kepler 22b is 2.4 times the size of Earth with a temperature averaging 22 C degrees.

Three planets orbit a tiny red dwarf star KOI-961 with one named Gliese 581g, seeming identical to Earth.

Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf star with a planet, Proxima b, that is 1.3 times the mass of Earth. The expectation is that in 2017 its atmosphere and life will be confirmed.

The two Voyager space-probes have now passed out of our Sun’s heliosphere’s outer structure, therefore we are now actually exploring other solar systems physically.

It is this very exciting time that facilitates the normality of spacescapes as the painting of exoplanets.

By not knowing their evolution nor being sure of the chemical make-up of their rocks, gases or liquids – there are no visual boundaries.

That initiates the fun of it all.
